HAND IN HAND

The pursuit of tomorrow left me worn
for the future escapes like a unicorn
but when I paused from my endless task
it shyly gave me all that I asked.

I put my hand in yours and I take up this vow
in the future to live as we love in the now
beauty began with the shape of your face
but acquires new meaning when two souls embrace.
