WATER FOR FIRE
Water for fire, fire for ice
prayer on the pathway to paradise
the light draws me forward, the dark drives me on
the shades between form a velvety vice.
You eat the apple but leave the core
the seeds are scattered upon the floor
the deed is done and the lines are drawn
but the stones, they break at the lion's roar.
